How I Run in Cheap Shoes (without getting injured!)

Starting in my late 30s, I spent a lot of money on expensive running shoes, and I got injured in each of them, even with custom orthotic inserts. Now I spend as little as three dollars on cheap, plain shoes, and I wear them forever (as you can see by the image above!), and I haven’t been injured since. How do I manage that?

If you search Google images for “vision board,” you’ll see some wonderful examples of vision boards that aren't for me. They represent ambitious people with twenty exciting interests pulling them in twenty different directions. With a vision board like that, I’d hop from one path to the next to the next without making progress on any path. It’s just too much!

Crocheted Dish Scrubbies

I scrub pots and pans with a nylon scrubby instead of a sponge. The latter gets mildewed too easily (pee-yoo!), whereas a nylon scrubby dries fast. But sometimes they’re hard to find. Homemade dish scrubbies to the rescue!
